Pros

can gain little experience that is somewhat transferable

Cons

very toxic work culture. Management is extremely poor. Little to no training. Extremely high staff turnover for the same position, 40 in the last 2 years. Most experienced member of the team was 6 months old.

Pros

The work itself is interesting and Some outsourced training

Cons

Unreasonable working hours made to feel guilty if you didn’t work overtime expected to work every weekend, no gratitude for any hard work put in. The management is the problem with the company the GM is nothing more then a bully and feels it’s ok to shout and demean staff for the littlest of things, improper training expected to learn on the job and ridiculed if an error is made, toxic work place

Pros

Its probably not as bad a being in prison

Cons

This business is about 40 years behind in its systems, processes', attitudes and management. It is clear that everything that was originally put in place back in the origins of this company have not changed one bit. It's a business that lives off the fame of its deceased founder - to the detriment of everyone involved. Clients are regularly over charged or fobbed off with lies and the root of the problem comes from "thuggish" management who rules with an overly aggressive attitude; possibly to distract from the fact that he is not intelligent enough to take onboard new ideas as they would immediately highlight just how badly run the whole operation is. The entire ordering process and project management could easily be automated and run by 1 person - yet the office is crammed with under qualified people pushing bits of paper around to look busy and overly complicate a fairly simple system. The work is bland to say the least and spending 2 hour+ a day doing a daily briefing (every couple of hours) is draconian to say the least - and totally unnecessary as generally nothing has changed at all. Its mainly a historic vehicle that gives the management an excuse to openly ridicule people in front of the other staff. On numerous occasions management wrote down specific requirements . When these instructions were followed to the letter .... you were told it was completely wrong. When challenged with these hand written instructions management claimed "That was me showing you what not to do!!". Utter nonsense from senior management who would be lucky to get a junior position at any other decent business. I could go on but I would only be re-itterating all the comments from the other 17 reviews (not including the clearly fake ones from the afore mentioned manager)
