Management have no interest in rewarding their staff, whether it's as simple as a 'thank you for your work' or financial rewards. As long as senior management still look good, then all is well with the 'team'.
Sales team are expected to work 6 days a week minimum. No work/ life balance. 'We will expect that you are free to work every weekend unless you have booked it off in your diary in advance'.
No salary increases (incremental or otherwise).
Took away the incentive of commission for new homes sales after a group of young staff joined the team and did not compromise by increasing basic salary for the new staff despite many team members leaving previous jobs for this proposed financially rewarding job. For me, this was a job offer I couldn't refuse based on the information I had been fed about the perks of the job in New Homes.
Directors and senior staff take every bit of credit for the work undergone by the team. A strong game of egos with a lot of ignorance in play.
