Wrong people got promoted into leadership and nobody ever fixed it
Pros
Parts of the work were legitimately interesting. The immediate team was fine.
Cons
People in leadership simply had not been equipped to manage, and nobody was going to fix that. I watched capable team members get frustrated and leave because the people above could not provide real direction or meaningful support. Every decision from up top made no sense and kept contradicting the previous one, so everyone retreated into defensive mode. It seemed like the promotions had happened without actually evaluating if these people were ready to lead. My whole experience became working around dysfunction instead of building something that mattered. Everything just felt reactive and chaotic, and it all came back to the same fundamental problem with leadership.
