      Some people are extremely appreciative of the help given

      As it’s anonymous and a text service, it’s very hard to connect with people who text in Training for responses tells us to give very rehearsed and robotic answers which I have seen complaints about online Made me question how much help the role gave anyone

      Pros

      All the work is done online so you can volunteer from anywhere at anytime. The supervisors are super supportive during training and you learn a lot of helpful skills.

      Cons

      It can be difficult to talk with people experiencing mental health difficulties and you sometimes have to engage in difficult topics.
