Pros
Work from home, I guess.
Cons
Before considering employment with this company ask yourself (or your interviewer) the following : What is the company’s turnover rate? (hint: it’s over 40%) Why would a company have such a high turnover rate? (Answer: Poor management and unrealistic expectations of employees. This company performs layoffs on at least a quarterly basis.) What unrealistic expectations? (Answer: Your working life will revolve around meeting minimum billable hours. Unfortunately, project management is so inept that you will spend weeks working on client projects that have run out of billable hours.) Which is worse? Planned overtime in order to meet project milestones, or immediate unexpected overtime due to poor planning? (Answer: It doesn’t matter, you’ll get both.) Overtime? (Answer: Note you will be an exempt employee and not entitled to overtime pay, nor unused PTO pay. After my lead told me I would be compensated for overtime and encouraged me to ask upper management, I was told that I would receive my overtime as a “bonus” at the end of the year, and then I was laid off. I never was compensated. ) What about the people? (Answer: While you might have some decent coworkers, most people are burnt out and busy putting out their own fires. Meetings involving the Engineering team will turn into a d**k measuring contest, that no one wins. The owner is an arrogant bully).
