Pros

During your interview you have such high hopes but you soon realize things aren't what they appear to be. A company trying to do too many things and ultimately not doing any of them very well. Everyone is over worked, underpaid and no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to investing your career here. There is very little room to grow unless you want a lateral shift. And the folks that have stayed seem to have chosen to do so because it's convenient rather than really embracing what Viverae has become.

Cons

They have cut back all the "perks" that use to make Viverae a fun place to work. The culture is awful. Everyone knows who is looking and it's a waiting game to see you leaves next. So many employees who have been there for a few years remember the good old days. For most of them it's what's kept them here for so long. Departments are looking out for themselves and teamwork is like pulling teeth at times. Client Services will bring in a new hire and pay them more before they will work to make their current employees happy. Raises are non existent and it's a sad day when you announce an acquisition and all you hear is crickets...people would have been cheering if you offered a matching 401k...no one is excited to hear you took out a loan to buy clients...

Pros

Hours of operation are good and location is easily accessible.

Cons

A company selling the “wellness culture” can’t even provide it to their own employees. Things that Viverae puts out as their product aren’t even happening within the company. You’re tied to your desk and unless you are some top level employee you can’t even participate in the “culture” building activities because they are during business hours. Yes there’s exercise classes lead by employees, but they are during working hours so you have to be at your desk working. They do a monthly activity at 4pm; still during working hours. Management has zero direction and hovers between micromanaging the top proforming employees to completely ignoring the actions of the rest. The more you work the more work you’ll be given while people that have worked for the company for years do next to nothing and are never asked to do anything additional while a small few of the employees take up all the slack. Jobs and promotions are honestly just provided to the biggest yes man that applies and has little to nothing to do with ability, experience, or job performance. There is little to no communication between departments and getting information to help customers is like pulling teeth. No one in the company seems to know or care if the people that are on the customer facing front lines have any information to actually do that job effectively. The systems across the board are outdated completely. From using outlook as a scheduling application (which crashes constantly) to using emails as a means of information about issues. Systems crash constantly on both our side and the customers’ sides and instead of fixing them the company just continues to add useless “tools” on the website that no one is using and just adds more confusion.

Pros

Industry leader in the employer wellness space. Comprehensive and integrated product and service offering. Rapid organizational growth. Friendly people and on-site perks like fitness center, cafe and clinic for employees.

Cons

High turnover in key service areas (i.e. Account Management, Sales) and arrogant attitudes in senior leadership have damaged reputation among market channel partners; Employee development isn't supported or encouraged from the top-level; Poor focus on customer service and as a result, customer retention suffers.
