Pros
Meeting new people from all over and paid conferences 2 times a year. Other than that, this job is nothing to gloat about.
Cons
When I first interviewed with this company, I was given the spill about being able to flexibly work and set my own schedule(as a long as I'm making sales) FALSE. You will be obsessively micromanaged by "Captains" who don't set the example, and will be chastised if you don't fit into their immature "Bro Culture". Getting sales will require you to be some sort of Houdini or sorcerer because a lot of schools are weary of allowing grown men on their campus to solicite their services to coaches. Please understand, if you work here, you will basically be sneaking around high schools trying to get sales from coaches, who will probably report you. Nothing is worse than having school officials getting involved in having you removed from school. You will hate driving once you have left this job. The pay structure is not designed for someone who doesn't have the financial backing to support themselves until they begin to make money. In other words, if you are destitute and are looking for a company to start making money fast, look elsewhere. You will have to work 12 hr days, driving around, trying to sneak into schools. By the end of the day, your gas tank will be on E. MEANING, you have to scrape up money to fill up again. Filling up at least 3 times a week is insane and very costly. Before you know it, you will be spending 100 bucks a week on gas alone. Oh wait, there's more! They provide you with a gas allowance, but it's so minisucle and insignificant, that you're better off without it. Once taxes are deducted, you're back at your measly base pay. "Bro Culture". The company owner tries to breed this culture of family and friends, but in all actuality, it's nothing more than a bunch of washed up athletes and men who want to relive their youth. Because of their "Bro Culture", the backstabbers that you would consider to be co workers, will gossip like women to ensure that they remain on top and you on the bottom. No one truly cares about the work that you put in. The owner and his minions only care about you making them money, by any means necessary. Even if it means you are drowning.
