Pros
-Meaningful work -working with kids is really fun -build great connections with parents -always got my time off approved -work with students
Cons
-you will not get 40 hours a week, sometimes you will but they are not stable -decrease in clients means a decrease in hours, so you need to make yourself a favorite kid-wise and instructor-wise so that families can request you -no HR department -The team says they value you and respect you, but they just want you to do the work, your input does not really matter. -No bonuses unless you're a favorite. -Conflict / confrontation is avoided at all costs. Instead, they will lecture everyone for 2 hours instead of just talking to you about it. -You're expected to wear slacks even though you run/ exercise with children. -No room to grow. -Raises are miniscule. -You have to wait 2 years before you can use PTO. -Work comes home with you. -You are expected to work above and beyond even though your pay doesn't reflect that.
