Discrimination of kennel staff, with preferential treatment to hospital staff.
"Hourly sense of urgency" is the owners favorite line, meaning she did not tolerate down time in any way.
Overtime was non-existent, and not allowed. Staff regularly worked 7 day weeks, but always intentionally scheduled across 2 pay periods to prevent having to pay OT, which is unacceptable. A 7 day work week should expect 2 days worth of OT.
I did my best to look out for my team and the animals in our care, with nothing but pushback and argument from management.
"Everyone leaves together" was constantly preached at kennel staff, while the owner and her team would bail as soon as they were done without offering to help the kennel, while kennel staff would be chewed out if we did the same on a day we finished up early. I could go on.
