- Often inequitable / unjust remuneration & opportunities. People can be paid vastly different amounts for the same job & experience level.
- Knee jerk reaction is strong here - but ironically, responses are often too late and do not address the root cause.
- Poor communication of changes by management. Employees feel powerless. Constant reorg on a 9-12 mth cadence.
- Lack of a concrete strategy/ game plan to succeed. The industry has evolved and progressed much faster than the company & its technology. Significant failures in prioritization of resources in the past did not help.
- Culture is deteriorating. Company values are a sham. Gone are the days of truly open & transparent communication. From Startup -> SME, if you catch my drift.
- Brain drain on the technical side - significant amounts of tribal knowledge lost.
