I have been working at Subsea 7 full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Interesting projects to work on. Good work colleagues excluding management.

    Cons

Management constantly speak about values, but actions show they don't follow them. Promotions are based on how well you get on with a manager and not best person for the job. Being female is an advantage at the moment. Generous bonus for management, but nothing for the workers.

    Advice to Management

Start being fair and start living by the values which subsea 7 promote.

I have been working at Subsea 7 full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Senior management are approachable and very informative regarding company performance. People are positive and generally work hard. Good opportunities to travel and work in a variety of offshore and onshore roles in a wide variety of countries. Some of the graduates have had really good experiences, new qualifications and management style training due to specific roles.

    Cons

Very engineering focused to the detriment of all other functions. Sometimes, it can be very slow due to the inherent idea of projects. The role has a massive effect on how you perceive the company and how much you get to do. Commercial or Supply Chain functions are looked down on.

    Advice to Management

Continue to pass on details regarding the company as a whole and work with none engineering functions on career strategy.
