-Severely, SEVERELY understaffed -Unsafe due to lack of staff - no backup when patients assault - overwhelming amount of things to do by oneself while trying to fulfill patient demands -Benefits are abysmal - like not having any but paying a chunk of your paycheck for them -Never have enough supplies or food for the patients (mind you this is a psych facility - imagine how angry a non-psych patient gets when they are hungry and on meds that make them hungrier - just some food for thought) - you will get harassed to pick up shifts every day And the kicker - Pay is unlivable unless you’re a nurse or do tons of overtime (which people do and burn themselves out because so many people call out/quit/no show and they’re left alone on a shift they picked up) -Nurses - money does not compensate for everything - they also get burnt out because there aren’t enough nurses - I’ve seen veterans walk out Look I’m not saying don’t work here because staff is very kind, the place has potential, and it can be a wholesome experience but do not be surprised when you get there, the place needs help, it will be rough until they fix their staffing and supply issues (which will take time).
