Worst company I have ever worked for (and I’ve worked at sports direct on a zero hour contract)- avoid at all costs
Pros
Free drinks on a Friday and some really intelligent, friendly people (sadly none at the top resulting in the actual senior management being a complete joke) Very good work life balance because I had no work to do for most of time and was effectively paid to watch Netflix
Cons
Where do I even start? Terrible senior management who couldn’t run a bath let alone a company. I had no training as a new starter, I had no manager for a few months and no work for most of my time there. Senior management disengaged from my department, resulting in more junior staff taking on lots of responsibilities without the recognition and pay for the extra work. Some teams are clearly favoured over others by senior management meaning issues and problems in some teams go completely ignored. However, should you have the audacity to be even 2 minutes late into the office or back from your lunch break, senior management will spot this and humiliate you in front of the entire floor. I guess they cared more about you being 2 minutes late (not an exaggeration, the MD timed someone) than they did about fixing the smouldering mess that some departments were. Also, there was no plan in place for managing remote working or the on boarding of new starters in lockdown, I felt completely abandoned by the company. Also, clear sexism and favouritism that went completely unchallenged resulting in, at times, a toxic, vile environment. FYI for the ratings below I would have put 0 stars for most if that was an option.
