Pros

Some great teammates who remain passionate in the face of increasingly boring work.

Cons

Massive turnover of employees occur every year, good place to start your career after finishing a coding bootcamp, or making a career change to get proficient at a new technology but, don't stay here too long. Agency work varies, most of it involves mundane crud app development. Owner of the place is socially inept, when he talks to you, you can't tell where you stand with him.

Pros

Im rly sorry to say this but there are no pros anymore.

Cons

I came on here thinking other ppl would have left this review bc things are rly bad at TWG, but there werent any so I guess Ill leave it.  TWG was acquired by deloitte and I cant imagine it going worse. We knew there were issues at the company about diversity and salaries and that a lot of leaders had left but honestly I think some ppl still had faith in the remaining leadership to do an acquisition well and look out for employees.  Everywhere you turn now there are huge issues. Ppls salaries dont make sense when talking to colleagues. Srsly toxic environment especially w diversity issues. The tools just arent how you work in tech and for some reason senior leaders want to pretend this is a great opportunity for anyone here.  Almost everyone I still respect is actively interviewing. Im rly sorry to have to leave this review but TWG doesn't exist anymore and probably hasnt for a while. I wasnt willing to rly believe that all the negative things I was hearing were true but they all are. Look somewhere else for a job.

Pros

There are talented people working at TWG, especially in engineering and the product department. Overall, most people are caring and to some extent encourage an open environment to discuss issues. You can identify what projects you are interested in, but it's agency so at the end of the day you don't get to decide. Decent pay for consulting, not for industry standard in tech though - salary bands are outdated and set top-down by HR. Communication during hard times (like covid) was very good, and transparency for some things is admirable. Most people you meet at TWG genuinely mean well.

Cons

The majority of people who contributed to TWG's great culture have left very recently. The turnover of the most talented people is high. This is due to a few factors, including the type of work TWG is selling, heavy workloads, and a failure to promote / recognize talent while it's there. The workload for some departments (product, design) is unmanageable, so work life balance isn't possible, which makes the lower industry compensation harder to justify. Leadership has gone through a lot of turnover especially, and key senior positions haven't been replaced, or they're being filled with people who are negatively impacting the culture. The remaining leadership is too inexperienced and it's trickling down to every job function.
