Pros

Minimal Benefits: Beyond the basic salary and a teaspoon (3 grams) of tea, there is little to appreciate in terms of staff benefits or incentives.

Cons

This contribution does not reflect the brand ethos of TWG but rather the operations of the London franchise managed by Devyani International (UK). Terrible Management: The Business Development & Operations Manager is unprofessional and rude in his manner, creating a toxic work environment down the chain of command. Legal Compliance Issues: There was a significant delay in pension enrollment for employees, which is a clear violation of legal requirements. Lack of Training: Staff receive no formal training and are expected to learn independently under the guise of being "proactive." Payment Errors: Frequent mistakes in salary calculations, particularly concerning holiday pay, leaving employees frustrated. Neglect of Employee Welfare: Staff concerns are often ignored unless escalated through complaints. Unacceptable Facilities: The staff room conditions are appalling—extremely small, overcrowded, and unhygienic. Accommodating 17 staff members in such a space is completely unacceptable.

Pros

- Free teabags in the pantry - Decent work life balance, seldom need to OT. - Everyone's generally quite friendly but I'm sure that's just on the surface - Staff discounts

Cons

- Management is very profit-driven as they only care about themselves - Turnover in a particular department extremely high and you must be good looking to be able to get in. Shallow selection process. - Extremely weak HR team who don't have power to influence or lead; lack of communication between HR & rest of the company. For eg, no bonus because of covid, but for 2 years there have been no formal announcement about it, always leaving us to find out at the end of our supposed bonus month. - Promotion and increment can be at any time of the year with no real appraisal process. It's evident that if you are in the clique or if you're close to the manager, you just do the bare minimum and get promoted almost every year. Those who actually do their work receive zero recognition. Managers unable to draw the line between friendship and professionalism. - If you're not part of the clique, chances are, you get bullied to do everything. - Not sure why there is no bonus when the company is doing very well. Taking advantage of the covid situation in my opinion. - Expect sexual harassment but there is no point going to HR about it as they will just transfer you out of the outlet and not tackling the root problem and the cycle repeats. - Systems and software are very old, outdated and slow. Company does not see the use in investing in them but expect you to adapt and do well. - No staff welfare
