Pros
Small team where you can make a big impact. Generally there's a sense that you're on a mission. When I was there it was basically just a group of developers and a CEO, and that translated to it being easy to write lots of code.
Cons
When I was there, the code was quite messy and the architecture was simple and uninteresting (but functional). It was small fry. There was no tests and very little monitoring or analytics.
