Pros

Tergus has some people trying to get along and get the work done.

Cons

Client needs not met. Lab data integrated repeatedly to pass specifications not to meet the USP requirements for good chromatography. Data review is poor at best and does not capture substantial GMP issues. Incompetent and untrained staff not following GMPs. Client deadlines almost never met and then lying to the clients why the timelines are not met. No accountability for employees not writing investigations or CAPAs on time. No accountability for employees not following SOPs and GMPs. Management either incompetent or unwilling to enforce requirements. Paid time off is sick time and vacation time of 18 days per year in one pot earned a few hours at a time (18 days vacation and sick not available until 1 year of employment).

Tergus Pharma Response

Tergus Pharma respects the right of any current or past employee to share constructive feedback. In fact, all current employees have ample opportunity to participate in the process of further establishing Tergus as a leader in the field of Topical Development and an employer of choice in the contract development space. Additionally, past employees who choose to voluntarily leave Tergus are given the opportunity to provide constructive feedback via the exit interview process. However, Tergus rigorously refutes the unfounded and reckless comments mentioned in this post. Tergus remains committed to ensuring a very collaborative approach to management of the business and valuing our greatest resource, our people, through a focus on work/life balance and promotion of employee engagement at all levels. We invite anyone considering careers at Tergus to learn for themselves what Tergus truly has to offer. Tergus is recognized by the FDA and the clients for maintaining and delivering to the quality community.

Pros

Let me think.. pros.. well, it is a job, so I guess it is a pro? Oh, and the majority of the people that work there are decent human beings - there are a few exceptions. Hm, can't think of anything else.

Cons

I wonder who pays better though, unemployment or Tergus. You can barely make rent payments with a paycheck and have to live off of ramen and campbell soup. Also, I didn't realize I was going back to middle school when I was hired. The few exceptions mentioned in the pro section are some of the most immature people ever. They go out of their way to make some co-workers' lives miserable, and for no absolute reason! This is why all of the good employees have been putting in their notices recently. They're fed up, and landing jobs that actually pay for what they are worth. I've never experienced such anxiety or depression working at Tergus. The CEO is constantly micro-managing all departments and employees and it causes them to not to do their job efficiently! It's also like walking on eggshells at Tergus.. CEO is watching everyone under a microscope making sure everyone is working their 8 hours a day, but expecting them to work 10+. But as they say, TERGUS PHARAMA CARES ABOUT YOU.

Pros

They offer 401K and insurance. There's always fresh coffee and snacks around. You usually don't find yourself angry all by yourself.

Cons

Tergus Pharma is NOT a good place to work at. Being a member of the Tergus family means that you’re underpaid and overworked. That is, unless you happen to have a Ph.D. In that case, your life is great because the CEO absolutely loves Ph.D.s, even if they have no idea what they’re doing and are filling a role they are completely unqualified for. Think that’s an exaggeration by a former bitter employee? Every one of the managers at Tergus quit within a three month period. That’s four managers. FOUR. But that’s not surprising: it seems like whenever they get a new hire, that person comes in ready to make a difference and fix everything that’s broken. But so much is broken, and they get worn out so fast that within a month they can barely do anything beyond their basic job function (if that!). The turnover is incredibly high, and let’s face it, the quality of analytical force in the company is quite low. People have so little understanding of what they do and what they’re supposed to do that Tergus managers actually organized a course to teach people about how they should perform their most basic job functions! The only constant seems to be the employees who depend on the company for their work visas. The entire company is a mess. Only accept a job there if you’re desperate, but no one will judge you when you leave within less than six months (which seems to be a good rule of thumb for when employees leave).
