The work environment at Terrain Studio could only be described as toxic. Expectations for prolonged working hours were the norm, not the exception, compounded by principals who, entrenched in their workaholic tendencies, inadvertently cultivated a culture where leaving on time felt like a professional faux pas. Instances where we were expected to multitask through lunch meetings were not uncommon, betraying a fundamental lack of respect and compassion from the top down. It was disheartening to witness principles mock external people, colloquially referring to them as “potatoes” during professional meetings—a behavior that was both unprofessional and demeaning.
Moreover, the rapid turnover at the firm was telling. A healthy organization wouldn't see such a constant flux of departures. It’s worth noting that some of my colleagues felt compelled to stay due to visa constraints—yet, the moment their status was secured, they would leave without hesitation.
In sum, if your circumstances allow, seek employment elsewhere. Terrain Studio should be considered only if no other options are available.
