Pros

Founders are very smart and dedicated. Many passionate people. People care about each other generally.

Cons

Founders do not act fully on feedback, can be defensive and do not follow through on deadlines they have set themselves (tone from top). Have seen aggressive behaviour from top leaders.

Pros

During my time, at least: - Great work/life balance, the company even encouraged every Tetrand to take some time-offs - A lot of areas that can be learned, such as reading .proto files, updating Envoy/Docker configurations, and playing with Kubernetes, which aren't normally used by a frontend engineer - Great salary - Great tools to improve productivity (e.g. work laptop with high specification) - Very supportive of employees to improve themselves, e.g. joining conferences (which sadly didn't happen for me because of COVID) - "No titles" convention which reduces the "seniority" between employees

Cons

During my time, at least: - The company was very kind to a fault, sometimes problems regarding human resources weren't taken seriously until I wanted to resign - Workloads sometimes were too focused on few people and not spread across the entire team, causing them to be a somewhat "single point of failure" - One of the drawbacks of the "no titles" convention: there was no clear career ladder path and bigger objective to achieve. Employees needed to discover it themselves.

Pros

-Some individuals you work with are extremely talented and smart. Sadly, it is a very small group that has the team aspect, and it does not include management / upper-level execs. -Remote work

Cons

-To summarize, the culture here is exceptionally poor. Other than a small group of individuals, you feel as if you are on your own and management does nothing to foster a collaborative and positive environment. Since everyone is on different time zones (we have employees across the globe) you are expected to answer emails/phone calls during all hours of the early morning, day, and night. This would be okay in emergency scenarios but should not be the daily norm. I feel as if I haven't grown as a professional because there are no growth or learning opportunities. All of the red flags of a toxic workplace are evident - there is little enthusiasm, constant dysfunction and confusion, and high employee turnover. Lastly, management does not believe in yearly raises. If you are okay with having the same salary every year until you are maybe promoted, this is your place to be. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid the constant anxiety that is this company.
