The Coding Space has an employee rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars, based on 18 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have a good working experience there.
Great team, flexible hours, hourly rate is pretty good
Cons
Not enough hours to make a living, especially in NYC, wish there were more opportunities for raises. also wish transportation reimbursement/rate was higher since classes can be short and commutes long
Supportive teammates and a generally positive work environment make daily work comfortable. The company provides decent learning opportunities and exposure to real projects. Work hours are usually flexible, allowing a reasonable work-life balance.
Cons
Salary and increments are lower compared to industry standards. Career growth and promotions tend to be slow and inconsistent. Management communication and long-term planning could be much better.
Very frequently had to stay up to an extra hour to watch kids whose parents were late; no great pathway for dealing with kids in potentially harmful home situations or who were behaviorally difficult
