Pros

Good end product and location.

Cons

Where do I begin? The MD does not care about your mental health. You are given more and more work and worked like a machine. I didn’t have time to take lunch breaks because of the unrealistic workload. If you work here you should expect to be criticised in front of your peers and compared to previous employees. MD is very unpredictable in what mood she will be in, and if she finds a fault in something, it will then feel like a nonstop attack on that colleague for the whole day. This does not make for a productive and healthy team. A lot of the time small issues will be blown out of proportion and would not need such drama. I’m sure you get more out of your employees if you praise them rather than criticise them. You will also receive a LARGE amount of emails, especially if she is out of the office. Don’t even think about doing your normal work, as you will be spending half the day de-coding hard to understand emails and replying to them. (Poor communication!) During my time I saw a large turnaround in staff but this seemed to be a normal thing and existing staff end up spending most of their time training someone new. How this company has been running for so long I’m not too sure. Lastly, expect to be contacted during your time off and holiday - you can end up being emailed any anytime without warning. You start off with the company feeling very passionate, but by the end the MD has kicked it all out of you through her way of managing staff.

We work as a small team - of which the majority of staff are 1) hard working 2) organised and 3) capable - when we have anyone join the company who do not possess the 3 above- unfortunately for them, they 'stick out like a sore thumb' - to all staff members including the MD. We have various ways to communicate including emails, all staff are encouraged to 'turn company phones/pc's off' during holiday/home times - so they do not have to respond to emails until back at work. Lunch breaks - when anyone joins the company they are encouraged to take a lunch break always. The fact that many staff members may choose not to take a break and work through lunch is irrelevant and the company cannot be made to feel responsible if you felt pressure to follow suit - that was not the case.

Pros

Easy Parking , Barney the office dog is lovely

Cons

MD believes that using the same bullying tactics is going to change the end result . Flagging up that the 2 positive postings were in the same time frame as each other , how strange lol .

Cons

Negative and stressful environment. No employee confidentiality. No work/life balance. No overtime pay or time owing - overtime is a daily thing! NO CONTRACTS!
