Pros

One of the best pros for this role is uncapped commission. There are several ways to hit bonus and commission, though I am not sure if the commission structure has changed. They do like to promote internally. Easy interview. Come with experience and industry knowledge.

Cons

The management was always changing. Several times during my time there, we changed directors, sales managers. So it was difficult navigating sales techniques because each manager/director wanted us learning a different approach. There was very little consistency. Transportation is an ever-changing industry, but it seemed that our management were never on the same accord.

Pros

Looking back I did enjoy this job. No job is perfect and there were some challenges. specifically with limited opportunity for entry level employees. There were incentives, however they were not organized efficiently. The manager I worked under was great. Great entry level and great for gaining essential skills and work experience.

Cons

If you are looking to grow within the company it was very difficult, especially being the top salesperson on the team consecutively for months. Not good if you're looking for career growth opportunity within the organization. The retention rate is very low, for a reason and it's that the job is repetitive. The job to its core is hard to continue on with. It takes a special person to want to continue to be a BDR and stay in that position.

We appreciate the honest, balanced feedback! Glad you were able to jumpstart your career here and wishing you the best in whatever came next! The BDR roles have clear growth paths and in our experience, it usually takes somewhere between 6-18 months to build up your book of business and reduce the amount of cold calls you need to make each day.
