I have been working at Travelopia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good management below Director Level Decent pay

    Cons

Hayes and Jarvis and Austravel are brands that have been around for decades but have been completely ruined in 3 short years by a ‘leadership team’ who have no idea what they are doing. On the whole they have no previous travel industry experience and have been appointed by virtue of their connections with the equally as unable and absent CEO. They will blame Coronavirus for the recent redundancies but this company has been stripped to the bone over the three miserable years of its current ownership and the MD has even said the closure of Hayes and Jarvis and Austravel was decided before COVID-19. Such a shame that a once great company to book holidays with and to work for has fallen in to the hands of such incompetent, self-serving people who have incidentally all kept their positions while dozens of talented and hard-working people have lost theirs. Shameful.

    Pros

Nice team work across the functions and passionate about our customers, destination and giving back to the community through our trust

Andy Duncan has provided no leadership throughout the pandemic. No communication, told the business not to follow ATOL rules and not supported his people.

I have been working at Travelopia full-time

    Pros

    Normal workers within the organisation

    Cons

Terrible handling of current Pandemic crisis - redundancies all over despite government advice not to do so. Company lacks a sense of empathy or understanding Lack of direction on benefits within the organisation and what entitlements people should have You're fine if you work above a certain pay grade. Would be better served looking after the employees rather than focusing on their own pay packets.

I worked at Travelopia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some great holiday brands to work with a great Marketing team to match.

    Cons

After the company was sold to a private investor, it has gradually been stripped down, most of the management team replaced which created a really demotivated, negative atmosphere. Complete lack of trust from new management and micro-managing led to more demotivation.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to read your comments, especially as they do not mirror the feedback we receive from the vast majority of our employees. As you know, we have PULSE surveys, recognition schemes, regular town hall sessions and business updates from our CEO. Our engagement scores have continued to improve, which is very encouraging. Should you wish to provide specific examples that have driven your review, we would love the opportunity to focus on specific areas. Leon.Brett@travelopia.com Regards Leon Brett People Director

I have been working at Travelopia full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company as a whole has been through a fair amount of change in the last year and whilst it has been sad to see people move on the employees who have stayed are passionate and dedicated in seeing the company achieve its vision. I work with a great team who are always supportive and maintain a positive atmosphere, the managers I have worked with across the business are the best I have ever worked with, they always find the time to discuss their projects with you and their passion and enthusiasm is infectious! Hard work is always recognised and rewarded

    Cons

The company is busy and still going through change, no 2 days are the same.. for me personally this is not a negative but if you want a boring 9-5 then maybe!

Thank you for your review. We are really pleased to see that your view mirrors ours - that we have a real passion for our customers, and our teams. Your comments on parking is noted and understood. I note you are in Surbiton, and as you know the office if directly next to the train station and parking is an issue for all employers in that area due to its location. We do try to offer parking in our very limited car park when spaces are available. Please reach out to the facilities team if you haven't done so already for more information on parking arrangements - which include free parking in some of the local streets. Thanks again for your review, and we look forward to supporting you in your career here. Regards Leon Brett People Director
