      Running around like a headless chicken

      Pros

      Collegiate working environment. Lots of young and motivated colleagues, making the whole experience enjoyable. As a start up, the scope of work is really wide as well, making it a great working experience.

      Cons

      Absolutely terrible management. The founders do not have any vision and leadership abilities. They do not do any work and expect employees to do everything for them. In the span of a year, there were already more than 3 major product direction change. Management goals are also not incentivized alongside employees.

      You get to use the indoor gym

      Cons

      1. Micromanaging by the supervisors who can't trust their people to do the job. Pixel perfect syndrome for UI screens that may not even get out of the door because the management keep changing minds along the way. 2. HiPPO: Highest Paid Person's Opinion: The management don't really know what they are doing. They want to do a lot of things but can't get the core features properly executed. 3. Get ready to be thrown under the bus as your supervisor will not defend the team.

      Pros

      One of the many who got laid off in the 1Q23 cycle, in a team that was obsolete. Tbh, the firm had an amazing culture with lots of learning opportunities. Given how personal the founders / mgrs were with us, I can imagine why so many angry comments are left here as the 15% company wide firing felt like a betrayal. Recently met some old colleagues for a meal and realised Treehouse still holds dear to me among all the other companies that I’ve worked at. Overall, one of the best places to work (especially the karaoke sessions on Fri) ... Other then that it's a challenging environment that demands the team to be constantly innovating and learning.

      Cons

      A bit too much autonomy at times + lots of young and driven people who are given opportunities in a flat org structure that comes with cons...
