Pros

Barely any pros other than 4 day work week

Cons

This company is still as awful as before under the current leadership. it is still dictatorship where employees are disposable, and management holds unchecked power. If you're thinking about applying, don’t, unless you’re okay with being treated like a second-class person, having no career path, and watching unethical behaviour be swept under the rug. Management fires people without warning or explanation and dishes out disciplinary action inconsistently, often based on personal bias rather than performance. There’s an obvious favouritism towards long-serving employees, regardless of their contribution or behaviour, while newer people are micromanaged and undermined. The sales team operates in a culture that’s not just outdated but downright inappropriate. There is a heavy drinking culture that bleeds into work hours and business travel. During company trips to the U.S., managers regularly drank and drove fully aware of the legal and safety implications yet nobody in leadership took action. Even worse, managers were known to send sexually explicit images of women to colleagues but senior management turned a blind eye. This happened as recently as Q1 2025. HR is completely ineffective. They are not an independent or protective function—they operate as part of the finance and serve management’s agenda rather than supporting staff. You cannot trust them to handle any concern confidentially or seriously. Training is virtually non-existent. Beyond shadowing managers who constantly complains about being “overworked,” there is no structure, no learning resources, and no investment in employee development. You’re expected to figure things out on your own while being watched closely for any “mistakes” that can be used against you later. There is no opportunity for progression—unless you’re part of the favoured inner circle. Voicing your opinion is immediately seen as “challenging authority” or “being negative.” Feedback is not welcomed; it’s punished. This is not just a bad company—it’s a psychologically unsafe environment. If you’re looking for growth, fairness, or simply to be treated with respect, do yourself a favor and stay far away

Pros

Since the change in management in 2022, Trowbridge Gallery has undergone a significant cultural transformation. The previous concerns reflected in older reviews are not representative of the business as it stands today. Under new leadership, we’ve prioritised creating a respectful, inclusive, and professionally rewarding environment for every member of the team. Regular management training is now in place to ensure consistent, high-quality leadership at every level of the business. We’ve introduced structured staff training programmes across all departments to help everyone grow in their roles and feel confident in their contributions. We’ve also welcomed a dedicated in-house HR Manager, supported by an established external HR consultancy, to further strengthen our culture of professionalism, fairness, and support. The atmosphere in the studio and offices is now collaborative and focused, with a shared sense of pride in what we create. Our team plays a vital role in delivering the quality and service that our clients rely on, and we’re committed to supporting every individual in their professional journey with us. If you're considering joining Trowbridge Gallery, I’d encourage you to view us through the lens of what we are today—a company committed to excellence, respect, and continual improvement.

Cons

Long working day Mon-Thurs does take a little getting used to, but is so worth it for working a 4 day week.
