Pros

Staff truly care for all their students. They use best practice methods to support the students and their families. They have been able to have us work from home during the pandemic. There are always staff there to help when help is needed. They offer benefits (insurance, PTO, etc.). Staff receive a 15 minute lunch break (we didn't have this when I started there).

Cons

Very stressful and fast paced work environment. The training is not ideal for staff that have very little experience working with individuals with Autism or Developmental Disabilities. There are a lot of cliques between staff members, which makes for a toxic work environment.

Pros

It's a very positive work environment. Staff members are truly passionate about their work. The students and their families are a joy to work with. We are able to take pride in the positive impact we have on students every day. I feel that the leadership team cares about the students and staff. My supervisor is extremely supportive. I feel respected and valued as an employee. I have the freedom to work independently and exercise creativity in all aspects of my job. This is a wonderful work environment for someone who is self-motivated.

Cons

It may be a challenging work environment for someone who does not like working with limited direct supervision.
