Pros

Easy to get into because the staff turnover rate is sky-high, and just about anyone will be considered.

Cons

1. Appraisal was based on what was heard from the people on site, because said manager was not even on site and thus, had no idea of one's working style. 2. Appraisal was not fair because the reporting manager and site in-charge are FRIENDS (refer to point 1 above). 3. Very rigid regarding arrangements to work from home even though Covid. 4. Thrown about like a ball to which ever department needed support. Best not to show that one is capable of clearing up a mess, because once that happens, one can expect to be thrown to another department to clear THAT mess. Acting dumb might make your life easier, and really, it's no loss even if you are deemed to be too dumb for the job and asked to leave. 5. Cannot question why there is no proper training programme for new staff, because that's just the way things are. 6. Better be "dynamic" and "proactive" from the get-go because one can expect to be thrown into the deep end of the water with no regards to whether one floats or not. 7. Manager's response when I asked for help was: "I'm new also". Wow. 8. In my 7 months here, at least 4 colleagues have left - now I understand the notice period of 2 months. 9. Be prepared to feel unappreciated.

Pros

- Fun, helpful, lively peers. - Good place to learn that in a corporate world, it's every person for themselves. - Good place to learn that when leaders feel threatened by how well one performs, they will single-out one on purpose and downplay one's skills to others instead of grooming staff to be efficient and capable leaders. - Good place to learn to fend for oneself as leaders do not care for staff welfare or wellbeing in the company. - Good place to find incompetent Human Resources staff or incapable leaders who will greatly add to your company head-count.

Cons

- Overbearing management. - Doubtful leaders. - Toxic work environment. - Untrustworthy leaders. - Unhelpful leaders and in-charges. - Not an ideal place to trust people due to the natures of the company's leaders. - Expects you to complete the jobs of other's before completing your own. Sometimes to a point that if you were unable to complete your own work on time, one would be forced to work overtime without extra pay. - Leaders will threaten to disallow going on leave. - Try not to take sick-leave as it will spread gossip that you had intentionally taken sick-leave and not because you are actually sick. - They have the world's most ineffective Human Resources Department. HR staff will not be bothered by workplace complaints and will sit on matter, in time will proceed to leak private and confidential complaints to relevant parties that was filed a complaint against, so as to work together to find out the identity of the staff who made the complaint.
