Pros

Having been here for 5+ years, I can say that the company had started making a lot of positive moves over the past couple of years. First, the company began bringing in some very talented people over the past 2 years, and while some have left, a few still remain (why, I don’t know). Overall, the company has a lot of potential as it’s still somehow making money despite unbelievable amounts of excess and inefficiency.

Cons

The company is and has been plagued by a couple of Sales Chameleons at the top of the Sales food chain who seem to somehow convince any leadership that comes in that they are adding some type of value. Sadly and candidly, this could not be further from the truth. Time and time again I have witnessed these gentleman throw anyone and everyone under the bus, scapegoating their way to salvation. They’ve had as much to do as anyone with the failures of the business, both in processes, poor sales projections, ill-conceived acquisitions and little to no strategy. The prior CEO and CFO were admittedly not what the company needed; One couldn’t be found, and the other locked himself in an office all day. Point being, they weren’t in the way. These sales guys will ramble on and on about their glory days at a competitor, talk about how things should be, avoid providing the depth in how to execute, and ultimately never execute at all. They contribute to the chaos in a way that’s difficult to exaggerate. More than that though, they contribute to a morale problem that might be impossible to overcome without major intervention and pressure. As many have in the past, the CEO seems to have cuddled up to these guys. (What’s the definition of insanity again?) Unfortunately, there is not enough cutting that can be achieved to overcome an inability to add revenue and have a legitimate commercial strategy.

Good people, bad pay and training

Pros

There are a lot of good people. Good benefits, flexible hours and bonuses based on your performance.

Cons

Training is horrible. Your pretty much on your own. I have been told they are working to improve training but I haven't see that happen yet. The pay is low and the company has grown tremendously in the past few years so they need to share the wealth with the employees that are helping them to do so well. Without employees you have nothing!!

It's a Job

Pros

It's a job. You get paid and you get experience in the area you are working.

Cons

The training is inadequate. There have been injuries in the plant due to lack of training and supervision. There is a lot of turnover because of the lower pay and the way management treats employees. Nothing you do is ever good enough and you will be written up and threatened with losing your job no matter how good you may be at it.
