Where do I even begin... - If you find an ex-valiramer outside of work just ask them how bad it was. If you really want a honest answer you have to bump into an ex-employee (not HR). - High turnover rate. Everyone is quitting at an extremely fast pace and you know what that means? (its bad...the leaders/managers/higher ups) - HR is doing their very best to maintain a good image so you'll see on their social media it may look like a "fun" place to work at. - No WFH option (dont even think about it lol it's a definite NO. Not even in the future. The higher ups dont trust their employees). The working hours are 9-6.30. Why is there an extra 30 minutes to an already long working hour? nobody knows but it applies to everyone. - Compensation is just average but with the amount of stress you're getting here I suggest you increase by 20% minimum. They have the budget for it. They always low ball. Fresh grads are paid 3k (do not ask for lower amount) - Yearly increment max is 5.5% (also subject to your boss). - It is a typical toxic workplace with politics. A lot of throwing people under the bus, nobody wants to take accountability ESPECIALLY IN THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT. - A lot of good people left so you're left with incompetent new people who are hired just to fill in the empty post immediately all because you mostly have 1 person doing the job so there's no backup. - To all new hires make sure you have proof black & white for all of your work (you're gonna need it). - Some brands often like to make last minute changes to everything so it disrupts the work flow and and it messes up everything from marketing materials, campaigns etc. Everything will be delayed. - You'll be lucky if you get good teams (rare). - Too much unnecessary approval process. - A lot of kiss aaahh (i cant say this word) over here so even the people who don't do their jobs or worse, have a sexual misconduct case will get promoted. - Max tenure here is probably only 2 years. - Bonuses are conditional. You have to sign an agreement that says that you'll pay the full amount + tax if you decide to leave the company within the period. (crazy right?). Not everyone gets the bonus also depends if you supervisor/manager deem you worthy of it AHAHA. - Limited growth. No career opportunities. - Don't rely on the good intern reviews, some are coerced to write a good review + they don't really experience negatives here that much since we only give minor work to them. - Everyone here is basically so done. Once we get an offer outside we wont even hesitate to accept it. - Parking sucks here. There is no subsidised parking. RM12-15 for nearby fixed rate parking spaces. In building parking is limited you need to be on a waitlist. They use season pass. Parking is maintained by UOA not Valiram. - Some people here get their jobs through connections with the owners/BOD, which i do not care if you actually know how to do your job. - The glory days are over for Valiram. A lot of brands are no longer under us anymore. We use to hold TUMI, COACH etc. We now hold a lot of dying brands that are no longer relevant to the current market. - Don't ask them white people who used to or are currently working here. They get treated differently with local workers (as usual). They will always give a good answer because all their needs are met while the locals are being paid peanuts HAHAH. - There is no pantry here which I am shocked. I though it was a basic necessity. You only get a water dispenser which I'm guessing was generous enough for them to give (in their heads). - Final say is, think twice before working here.
