Lack leadership/ management
In my entire career was in Vend where I "met" the most people with no values. The place is full of high school groups and HR is non-existent.
The culture is not what it seems. After first few weeks seem great and everyone is nice but once you get settled it's a fight for survival. If your team leader are not 'in' with you, you find yourself gone very quickly.
I have seen some amazing talent come and go. Less than a year 9 people left (The UK office had 24 employees when I started). Vend took more than 6 months to hire a Country Manager for the UK Office. Meanwhile, you were being managed by massive egos living away 8hrs time zone difference using micro management 24/7.
Huge lack of good leadership with poor examples by managers and team leaders spending hours on social media, playing ping pong and dreaming about the future. There are people who don't deserve to be part of leadership team but they are promoted anyway because they like to party.
Product
The product is very limited. In 10 months there was no product development.
No career opportunities
What I thought it was an opportunity to do good, help retailers, grown professional, work with some awesome people turned into a nightmare. They say to be open, honest and no silent disagreement, but it's not what really happens. People are only taken seriously based on how many years they stayed in Vend and not the quality of your work.
My advice
Do yourself a favor, and look for a real job where people respect, invest in you and help you be a better professional. You won't learn and build your career in Vend.
