Hard working individual contributors

Pros

Senior Directors and below here are hard working, communicative, and genuinely care about their jobs, tasks, and patients. Co-workers are willing to go above and beyond to help and support each other. Office is bright, casual, and fun.

Cons

Product is in a crowded market, and there is little direction or care from executive management (anyone above Sr. Director level). They are out of touch with our daily struggles. Strategy and budgets don't seem to align with what the company should be focusing on. This is a pity because individual contributors are stellar here. The layoff was unfortunate, but typically when there is a layoff, business functions/projects are also reduced. Only FTE numbers were reduced, so we still have the same exact amount of work to do with less people.

Pros

Great mission, impact and focus on patients, smart leadership and executive team, positioned for future growth, a Human Resources team and company that truly does Care Differently and acts intelligently. Great culture and people, great business and science. Incredibly unique VED talks, and passion for going forward.

Cons

I really can't list any cons here.

Pros

A culture of caring. From first day of joining Verastem, leadership has actively sought and listened to advice from outside the company. Verastem has actively worked to develop patient centered programs; and at the same time has a competitive benefits package for employees.

Cons

Every company has challenges. Every challenge and opportunity to improve has been welcomed and where practical addressed and resolved.
