Severe understaffing - can be hired as a part-time employee but it will be assumed that you can work full-time hours. Management will depend on the property but you are often working alone managing guests, maintenance and housekeeping - management will simply leave in the middle of the day. No breaks - if you are assigned an 8 hour shift, expect to be on your feet for the full 8 hours. Some of the hotels are falling apart, management and further higher-ups would be aware but won’t fix the problem due to cost restraints so be prepared for angry guests.

You learn and do everything they teach you because you are expected to have an ownership mindset. Some duties are questionably out of the job range. HR is clueless most of the time as well.
