Pros

Some lovely people, some lovely customers, money off of glasses and vouchers for friends and family.

Cons

At this particular store in Salisbury, management lacked professionalism in a big way. Within 10 months of my employment I became one of the 'senior' staff members due to the high staff turnover. Catty, snidey remarks and comments, backstabbing, degrading comments that lowered self esteem eventually leading to feelings of inadequacy. The workload was extremely demanding for the hourly salary. Allocated time for training does not exist, so if you love spending your time doing compulsory training without pay, this is the job for you! If the compulsory training is not completed then you are threatened with sanctions and eventual dismissal. Any training you try to partake in during work hours is interrupted by the non stop ringing of the phone or in-store duties that need completing. Lest we forget, sexual harrassment is also greatly accepted and swept under the rug at this store. Only threat of legal action will change this.
