Pros

I love working at VitroLabs. There is a lot of autonomy once you've shown that you're capable. The team is incredibly passionate about the overall mission to grow leather sustainably and management has big plans for the future and it's exciting to be a part of it.

Cons

We are a small team, which is amazing in many senses because you get to have a hand in many things, at the same time, it means that there is a lot on everyone's plates.

Pros

VitroLabs has been a great place to work so far, and I'm excited to see where it goes - There's a very open hierarchy; all the C-suites are super approachable a nice to talk to - Everyone is very friendly and open. We spend a lot of time together over company happy hours, paid lunches MWF, and on our own time - Everyone is open to new ideas. What we're doing here is brand new and there's a lot of new avenues to take - There's a lot of opportunity for growth with the company. The company is growing - You get ownership over your projects and objectives - Good benefits: health, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited PTO (within reason), lunch MWF, lots of snacks in the office,

Cons

It's a small and new team, so there's still a lot to be figured out. There are and definitely will be some growing pains, but nothing untoward has emerged so far. Things can get hectic when it's crunch time, but it's a startup, so what else could be expected?

Disingenuous Self Absorbed CEO

Pros

- Cool tech to be working on - Great CTO to be working under who started turning things around in the R&D Team - the middle and lower level people are all really great and supportive,

Cons

- Those who remain after a 50% layoff likely aren't going to care about employees. The entirety of people team and operations got laid off, and the COO was fired at a later date. So good luck getting any support as an employee - During the layoffs people only got 2 weeks of severance - so don't expect any sort of respect when you get kicked out. - Also don't expect to get promoted. There has never been a clear path to promotion, and that was while we had a people team. Now that Operations is gone, good luck! - Not really a sustainability company! They might talk some good talk about making a sustainable product. But there is no product, and next to no efforts at sustainable operations were made!
