Pros
Staff wellbeing is being slowly introduced to the school. Apart from that there is not much for a support staff
Cons
I went to a interview and was promised alot but it turned out they under delivered. They didn't set continous development goals for me on the day I was hired which didn't give me a drive. They promised me that I would deliver the same quality of work I was doing in my old workplace but with a better learning environment and better pay which then turned out to be false. My pay was also reduced before I started and after my agreement to join them due to "government action" For an outstanding school I am surprised by the amount of studnets that run away from slt and are flat out rude to staff how did ofsted not pick this up is a mystery. Also the IT there is shambles. I had to find out the hard way that there was no anti virus on laptops due to the previous tech and the head of IT agreeing with that "incredible idea" and personally surprised how they haven't been hit by a cyber attack at that point. There is also a massive Them and us mentality. As someone who was a support member of staff at a school it is difficult for us to ahieve a top level of respect that teachers would get so it was disapointing with all my efforts they would then criticise me and say that they don't agree with being that type of role model. Also with supporting a student with clear SEND traits I found out that they were not even gone through the process eventhough it was quite obvious. In my opinion I wouldn't recommend it.
