For the last 2+ years there has been little to no sales strategy, combined with poor sales leadership. This has led to a significant decrease in business and has required ownership to reduce staffing to such a small size that I'm concerned they may not be able to recover as they will need to then backfill nearly all positions with new people. Being in a fairly niche market and much of the software used being custom made, finding people with the knowledge to take off form day 1 is not possible and will require extensive training.
The custom software developed has been very good in many ways, but the last 2 years saw a focus on software for one area that frankly was not good and did not function they way it should.
