It is an alluring job, and can seem fun and stimulating job when first starting. But for those who stick it out long enough to get to know the owner, and how he runs his business, it becomes a much darker place. I’ll preface that who the franchise owner is makes a world of a difference, and so this review is only for the Sherman Oaks location. The owner/proprietor is greedy and more than willing to put dogs, trainers, and clients in danger to make a quick penny. He faces numerous labor disputes regarding his unlawful conduct as a business owner, and retaliates against any staff who assist or partake in any reports/investigations against him. Does not pay overtime, violates meal breaks, schedules trainers in such a way that they cannot take legally required 10-min breaks. He harasses employees (even after they quit), curses, gaslights, and is the textbook definition of a pathological liar. Talks trash about staff and other clients to the clients he’s with as a way to try to build rapport. Multiple times when employees from this franchise would approach a Zoom Room corporate leader, she was dismissive and condescending to the staff, refusing to get involved. Unless you have a high threshold for mental and physical stress, don’t work here.
