Pros

We were encouraged to push for design initiatives, build culture within teams, and be autonomous with our work Product is promising, has lots of potential Steady company revenue Resume booster Fun, chill, and friendly people Work-life balance improved but expect to still work weekends or late nights Exciting AI technology B2B exposure Wear multiple hats

Cons

General: Lack of benefits. They are aware of this though, so they may be actively working on it No clear employee onboarding and offboarding plans (can vary per squad) Lack of documentation (varies) PMs lack experience (varies) More sales-led, less product-led Lack of mentorship and trainings UX-specific: I would say not the most mature in terms of design. They have a long way to go and can improve. Don’t really recommend for juniors.

Unrealised potential

Pros

As with any small business you have an opportunity to leave an impact and take on more responsibility if you want to - potentially helping you in your career progression. Office location is also good.

Cons

Unfortunately there is a very obvious struggle with this business wanting to be a cool, agile start up versus "affiliated with [insert large tech company here]" - on one hand we were promised certain rewards usually associated with fund raising, annual salary reviews and the like however a few months later some team members were told to 'be thankful' we were still employed and were not given reviews. There's an expectation to be available 24/7, some team members worked 12-15 hour days with no time in lieu provided. If you look on LinkedIn you can also see that because of the churn of onshore employees, they've taken to exploit overseas labor for much cheaper.

Interesting and challenging work Can have autonomy and product ownership over execution of tasks Working with advanced and exciting technology Working with high-profile customers Top-notch social media presence on LinkedIn and on the web Fast-paced, won't easily get bored (can still be a con) Encourages growth and gives room for improvement

Cons

Salary is delayed most of the time No health and dental benefits No yearly increase No learning or food allowance, internet stipend, etc No performance evaluations Not much mentorship culture Flat organization (No clear chain of command) Poor work-life balance I don't recommend for starters to work here
