High Hopes

Pros

The wine is absolutely fantastic. They are very unique, and I love their sustainability. The family and staff are friendly, and their pay and composition are on the higher end. They did provide a 2 week severance pay.

Cons

I should of realized something was wrong, when I started working there and saw the worst retention rate I've ever seen. The Tasting Room Staff member who had been there the longest, had been there for 4 whole months. When I was let go I was told, "We appreciate your hard work, you were great. But youu're not a right fit for the company". This was after a month of being there. When I pressed for more information, they were hesitant to say any more besides "There were too many corrections". I was only there for a month, and when I was corrected, I fixed it. I feel like they didn't give me enough of a chance. I did ask a lot of questions, because I wanted to be sure I got the job done right. I THEN find out that they the owners just hired their son's daughter in law. This is as we were going in the slow season. In addition, I e-mailed the other owner, asking her to e-mail the exact reasons why I was let go, so I would know what to improve upon as an employee. She asked for my phone number, and then never responded. They'll offer you a great schedule and salary, but people don't last long there. Not worth the trouble, a waste of a month for me honestly.
