Yesterday, we were proud to welcome ITV’s Lorraine team to our Asda Pudsey store to launch this year’s Change + Check campaign, in partnership with our very own Tickled Pink initiative 🩷 This year, we’ve added a sweet twist with our new Busty Buns bakery line - available in stores throughout October to raise money for CoppaFeel! and Breast Cancer Now 🍰 The Lorraine team also spoke with our colleague Emma Betts about the campaign, and Katie Derry, who bravely shared her personal journey following a recent breast cancer diagnosis 🩷 We’re incredibly proud to support this important campaign and continue making a difference in the lives of our colleagues, customers and our communities. hashtag#ProudToBeAsda hashtag#TickledPink

⭐️ Hero Alert ⭐️ Asda delivery driver and former paratrooper Raymond rescues man from burning flat 🔥 Ray from our Hereford store didn't hesitate when he heard there was a fire in a flat with someone inside – running to the scene, dealing with the fire and leading the man to safety. Ray – a former paratrooper who served in the Falklands War – had just pulled over to make a delivery when he saw a young woman in the street trying to raise the alarm. He told her to call the fire service and ambulance and went to see if he could help. He said: "Luckily, the front door was open. There was a lot of smoke so I covered my face with a towel and went into the kitchen and saw a saucepan on fire on the cooker. I got a tea towel and put it over the flame, put it into the sink and put water on it. Then I opened all the windows in the kitchen to let the smoke out, then went into the lounge to open the windows in there ... and that's when I saw the man sitting down in a chair, bless him.” Ray has been nominated for a service superstar award 🥇 We are very proud of you Ray 👏 💚

⭐ Celebrating a true angel in action ⭐ When a mum couldn’t pay for her kids meals at our Boldon store after her phone died, she was overwhelmed with stress — until Helen, our amazing café manager, stepped in. 💬 “By the time I got to the till, I felt like I was going to pass out from the shame. But then came Helen – a true angel. She just said, ‘That’s on me." "No judgement, no fuss just pure compassion.” I managed to get back to the car, charge my phone and pay the amount I owed. Thank you Helen from the bottom of my heart." 💚 Thank you Helen for your kindness and always going the extra mile for our customers! 🌟👏
