This Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re proud to shine a light on conversations that matter most and to show what life at Bauer Media is all about. We’ve launched a range of initiatives to support our colleagues’ wellbeing: • Start the Conversation Panel: KISS’ Tyler West, Majestic, Planet Rock’s Wyatt Wendels and Absolute Radio’s Richie Firth spoke openly about their mental health and the power of simply talking. • Special Man Made Episode: Recorded at 10 Downing Street, Pete Wicks sits down with Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss masculinity, mental health, fatherhood, role models, and personal loss. • Andy’s Man Club Session: Ending the month with a session supporting the mission to end the stigma around men’s mental health. These moments reflect something bigger: our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, supported, and never alone. From 24/7 confidential help through our EAP, to Mental Health First Aiders, THRIVE programmes, wellbeing resources, and peer support via ImNotOK - your wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. ✨This week, colleagues from across Bauer Media Group came together for an extra special belated Black History Month & Diwali Sip and Paint celebration. 🎨✨ It seems the Christmas elves had been working extra hard - so hard, in fact, that our materials sadly didn’t make it in time for last months occasions. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, giving us the chance to celebrate these vibrant cultures a little later and shine an even brighter spotlight on them. It was a wonderful evening of creativity, connection, and learning - honouring two rich traditions that bring so much to our community. And we had so many talented colleagues in the mix (who knew!). While this event was a highlight, it’s also a reminder that celebrating Black heritage and South Asian culture shouldn’t be limited to a single month or moment. Let’s continue to recognise, uplift, and learn from these traditions all year round. Shoutout to all colleagues at the Race Equality Pillar for organising this great event. And thank you to all who came! Here’s to creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and celebrated, every day. 🌟
This week, our wonderful colleague Lauren Walther from Bauer Academy and members from the Enable pillar came together to host three fantastic in-person British Sign Language (BSL) Lunch & Learn sessions - and what an inspiring turnout it was! 💙 These hands-on, interactive workshops gave our teams the chance to: 👏 Learn everyday greetings 🔤 Master the BSL alphabet 💬 Practice useful questions for work and social settings 🌟 And even challenge themselves to come up with their very own sign name! It was amazing to see so many people getting involved including Kate Thornton & Neev Spencer, building confidence, and connecting through inclusive communication. A huge thank you to everyone who joined and made the sessions such a success! 🙌 It’s also an exciting time for BSL more widely - from next year, British Sign Language will officially be recognised as a GCSE subject in schools, giving even more people the opportunity to learn and celebrate this vital language. Together, we’re building a more inclusive Bauer Media, one sign at a time. These sessions also come at a perfect time, as we’ve recently been recognised as a Disability Confident Committed Level 1 employer - reinforcing our ongoing commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and supporting every colleague to thrive. 💪
✨ Standing Firm in Power and Pride: Celebrating Black History Month Across Bauer ✨ We’re reflecting on an incredible month across Bauer Media and Bauer Outdoor - filled with creativity, connection, and community. In celebration of Black History Month, and inspired by this year’s theme “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” colleagues across our Audio, Group, Outdoor, and Publishing teams came together to learn, share, and celebrate the impact of Black culture and excellence - both within Bauer and beyond. A huge thank you to everyone involved in #BauerMedia 's Race Equality Pillar and Bauer Media Outdoor UK's Culture Crew for organising such inspiring and meaningful events. Highlights included the Compass x Jamii Networking Event for Black-Owned Businesses, the return of Jamii’s Marketplace, and our partnership with ACLT on their “Sickle Cell is a Silent Crisis” campaign. Teams also came together to enjoy Caribbean catering and global snacks from Snacks Beyond Borders®, connect through a screening of “Rocks”, get creative at Sip & Paint sessions, and take part in a powerful panel discussion spotlighting Black voices across Bauer - all rounded off with the exciting launch of our Race Equality Book Club. It’s been a month of learning, reflection, and celebration and as we continue to stand firm in power and pride, we’re always looking to expand our team with individuals who share our passion for creativity, inclusivity, and making an impact. #EnrichingEverdayLives

🎉 Wurst-case scenario? You missed our Oktoberfest! 🍺🥨 At Bauer Media, we raise the bar - and sometimes a stein or two - to celebrate our brilliant teams across London and Peterborough! Our colleagues came together for a brat-tastic Oktoberfest bash featuring the BierKeller Boys, heaps of beer (and plenty of brew-tiful non-alcoholic options), sizzling sausages and vegan bites. There were pretzels galore, and games from beer pong to pretzel toss - even a bit of yodelling for good measure. 🎶 Between the lederhosen, laughter, and pitcher-perfect moments, it was the perfect reminder that at Bauer, we don’t just work hard - we prost harder. 🍻 If you’re looking for a career where great work meets great people (and the occasional yodel), join us!
