Over the last week, we have been delighted to celebrate the achievement of two special colleagues as they reach incredible milestones in their journey at BiP. Firstly, we celebrated the achievement of one of our Lead Developers, Sean Groundwater as he reached 30 years (yes, 3-0) with BiP. And then just a few days later, our Business Services Manager Garry Taylor hit the 25 year mark. Two unbelievable achievements and we're incredibly fortunate to have both guys as part of Team BiP. We know that to achieve our growth ambitions, we need to be successful in recruiting new talent to the business, but we also need to be able to develop and provide development and progression opportunities for the existing talent at BiP. It's important that we get the balance right across the organisation and how we can best blend new skills with the great experience already in the business. It's been great to see the success stories across both areas in recent months but we know there is more we can do.....and we're committed to it!
We are absolutely delighted to welcome back Roberta Brady to Team BiP. Roberta previously worked for BiP for 21 years before leaving last year to explore a new challenge. But some things are just meant to be, and we are so pleased she is back with us.
We are delighted to welcome Chris Shanks to BiP, and our Sales Management Team. Here's a bit more detail from our very excited Head of BI Sales, Alan McMenemy “I’m absolutely delighted to announce that Chris Shanks has joined the BIP Team. As our Business Intelligence team continues to expand, it was imperative that we continued to invest in our managerial team to support that growth. With his background in identifying and growing client relationships, combined with his extensive network in the Defence, Aerospace, and Medical sectors, Chris was the natural choice to join the team. Plus, he’s a really nice bloke! Welcome to the team Chris, can’t wait to see what you do here at BIP… Just one more thing… He’s hiring!”
And our Outstanding Performance Award for Q1 went to the brilliant Colin Stewart for his amazing efforts in his new role of Sales & Product Trainer
We also announced our Q1 Winner of our Values Award with Courtney McCusker from our People team scooping the prize for her brilliant contribution in the Quarter.
At our recent Q1 Business Updates, we were delighted to announce Colin Masia as the winner of our Sales Excellence Award
BiP Solutions has celebrated its best and brightest talent at the company's Annual Employee Awards. Seven worthy winners picked up trophies throughout the event, held at The Village hotel in Glasgow. The lively evening saw Rachael Connor-Laughlin, from Marketing, crowned Employee of the Year winning a cash prize on £1,250. CEO Simon Burges said: “It was a real pleasure to bring our colleagues together once again for this very special evening of recognition and celebration. With our award winners and many other talented individuals in our team we’re looking forward with confidence to an exciting future.”
BiP Solutions has helped raise close to £6,000 for people affected by the Ukraine crisis. The public sector supply chain specialist ran raffles at their flagship GO Awards event to help collect for those in need.
This week we welcome three new starters into our Business Intelligence division. Each new colleague had a box of goodies waiting for them, as well as a new laptop and office pass. We want all our new starters to feel at home with BiP Solutions and ready for training 😁
It's Mental Health Awareness Week and at BiP Solutions we’re conscious that our people are our most important asset. Helping them keep happy and healthy, both physically and mentally, is crucial to our success. Read more about the week's activities and our wellbeing programme for colleagues below.
