As part of our commitment to being a more inclusive and supportive employer we have introduced a new initiative for our colleagues today; a Buddy programme for Returning Parents. Welcoming a new baby into the family can be one of the biggest life changing events a person goes through and often leads to significant changes both at home and at work. Here at Correla, we recognise the support required by a returning parent can be quite unique and having someone like a buddy who has gone through a similar experience is crucial to helping that person settle back into work successfully. It's important to us that we not only retain talent within our business but that our people feel fully supported.
Correla are delighted to announce that today we have become one of the signatories of the Energy and Utilities Inclusion Commitment. Launched by the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership in 2019, 48 sector organisations are now signed up to five key inclusion principles as part of ensuring workforce resilience.
Correla has signed the Mindful Employer charter We want our people to know we are making an ongoing commitment with creating an inclusive, supportive and open culture, where all colleagues feel able to talk about mental health confidently. Established in 2004, Mindful Employer is a UK wide initiative run by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Providing employers with easier access to professional Workplace Mental Health training, information and support, the initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff. By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, Correla have made a public statement of our desire to support the mental health of our staff across the organisation.’
