Our multi-purpose sports centre based at the Malmesbury campus, has both indoor and outdoor facilities for use. The Olympic-grade flooring inside plays host to activities such as football, basketball, tennis, badminton, and a gym – managed by Dyson’s own team of personal trainers who can help build training plans and offer wellbeing and nutrition advice. The gym provides free access for all Dyson employees to enjoy, it’s kitted out with the latest equipment, including Wattbikes, a powerlifting area and the latest fitness and functional training equipment. Our Hullavington campus opened in 2018 and is our second UK technology campus, located on a former Royal Air Force base. Just five miles from our Malmesbury offices, the 750-acre Hullavington Technology Campus is the backdrop to some of our most exciting future discoveries. With a nod to the past this campus boasts some of the most advanced research, design and development spaces in the world. The aircraft hangars have been meticulously restored to celebrate Hullavington’s aviation history. As far as possible, we choose to restore our office spaces, rather than build new ones, as #restoration uses less concrete and, as a result, emits far less CO2 than building new. The refreshed spaces house state-of-the-art laboratories, cafés and restaurants – as well as a former runway used for lunchtime jogs down the airstrip. Our Malmesbury campus is home to our global Research, Design and Development (RDD) centre and a base for many of our engineers. It’s a global hub for over 3,500 Dyson people, spanning our creative and support teams too. Having buildings that are uplifting and inspiring is a central philosophy for our campuses, sites and offices around the world. They are filled with unique design icons, from a Harrier Jump Jet in the car park, a Lightning Jet hanging from the ceiling in our Café and other examples of inspirational engineering. There are landscaped nature walks, intriguing art works, a free gym, on-site hair salon, coffee bars and cafés serving free hot drinks and lunches, with menus designed by chefs trained in Michelin-star kitchens.
