We recently hosted our very first Network Celebration Evening at Harrods - a night dedicated to recognising and celebrating the incredible work of our eight Belonging Networks. Our Belonging Networks play a crucial role in shaping the future of Harrods. They create connected communities, safe spaces for colleagues to share their experiences, and help us build a workplace where everyone feels a true sense of belonging. It was an evening of celebrating colleagues and allies who are driving inclusion and making a real impact at Harrods. We’re proud to celebrate the colleagues and allies who continue to inspire us all.
Colleagues from across Harrods, from our Knightsbridge store to Heathrow Airport and H beauty, came together in September for our 3rd Annual Learn & Connect Fest. A week-long learning festival featuring inspiring talks, workshops, and panels designed to support growth across Harrods. This year’s theme, The Career Edit, inspired colleagues to explore and shape their career journeys through inspiring talks from Dr Hazel Harrison and Andy Lopata. A big thank you to inrehearsal for supporting the festival and helping make it a success. The festival may be over, but the learning doesn’t stop here. Through our open-learning sessions and leadership programmes, colleagues across Harrods can learn, build connections, and shape their careers,
"Launched in 2022, This Is Me is a space where colleagues can share their stories in their own words. They talk about who they are, the challenges they’ve faced, the resilience they’ve shown, and what it means to feel free to bring their whole selves to work. Through these stories, we show one another, and the world beyond Harrods, the values we stand by every day. They have moved us, sparked conversations we might never have had, opened our minds to different experiences, and reminded us how powerful it is when people feel seen and understood. Bringing these stories to life has been a privilege. This collection is a celebration of individuality and belonging, and of what it means to be part of something bigger while still being wholly yourself at Harrods." - Raj Basi, Employer Brand and Talent Attraction Manager
At Harrods, we believe in developing our people at all levels. That’s why we invest in providing our next generation with the essential tools for success in luxury retail. Last week, we celebrated this commitment at our Apprenticeship Graduation with our colleagues donning green and gold caps and gowns as they marked their achievements. From Retail Butcher Apprenticeships to Retail Manager programmes, it was a proud moment that reflects the bright future of our Harrodians 🎓✨ #TogetherHarrods
Driving Forward on Our Path to a Sustainable Future 🚛 As part of Harrods commitment to neutralising transport emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3, we are taking decisive steps to eliminate the use of carbon-intensive fuels in our distribution and supply chain. Since 2022, our Thatcham operations have achieved a remarkable reduction in transport fuel emissions, from 435 tonnes to just 7 tonnes. This milestone was made possible by transitioning all medium to large sized vehicles in Harrods fleet to HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and integrating electric vehicles. This month marks another exciting step forward as we launched a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) trial in partnership with Alltruck plc and DAF Trucks UK. This initiative supports our ambition to fully electrify our delivery fleet and eliminate diesel use, bringing us closer to our sustainability goals. Watch the video to learn more about our journey and join us in celebrating the arrival of our first electric HGV at our Knightsbridge store.
We're proud to share our latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, outlining the Harrods Path to a Sustainable Future. Covering the financial year from February 2024 to January 2025, the report highlights the meaningful steps we have taken to operate more responsibly across our value chain, the key milestones we have achieved, and our bold ambitions for the future. We believe in doing better always, and transparency is central to our journey, and this report reflects our ongoing commitment to progress, accountability, and creating lasting impact for our people, our partners, and our planet. #TogetherHarrods
“It all began with a simple belief: the future of our industry depends on the young talent we nurture today. This is more than a Young Chef competition. It’s a stage where creativity, discipline, and passion take center plate. And above all, it’s about the joy of learning, the thrill of creation, and the confidence to step into what’s next.” - Garrett Keown, Executive Sous Chef. hashtag#TogetherHarrods Find out who our Young Chef of the Year 2025 winner here: https://www.harrodscareers.com/events/2025-8/harrods-young-chef-of-the-year-2025
Recently, some of our Harrods Belonging network chairs and members spent the day at WEST Youth Zone in Hammersmith and Fulham, one of our charity partners who provides a purpose-built safe space for West London’s young people. As a Founding Patron, Harrods is proud to support WEST Youth Zone and help create spaces where confidence grows, skills develop, and futures are shaped. Hear from Ankita, our Group Sustainability Manager, on why charity and community are an integral part of our ESG strategy, and how we’re working to create opportunities that empower young people to reach their full potential.
Last week our Racial Equality and Diversity (R.E.A.D) network hosted Chai & Chat in honour of South Asian Heritage Month. Centered around the theme Roots to Routes, the session sparked meaningful conversations about how our cultural foundations shape the paths we take, both personally and professionally. Colleagues listened to honest reflections, shared diverse experiences, connected over delicious food, and, of course, sipped on plenty of chai. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of community and conversation.
H beauty and our LGBTQIA+ Network proudly stood together at Bristol Pride 2025, celebrating inclusivity, self-expression and community. #TogetherHarrods
