Together we?ve released a series of food waste-free shopping lists that will help Scottish families plan better, save money and fight the climate crisis. Oxfam?s 2020 ?Behind the Barcodes Supermarket Scorecard? ranking has just been published, and we?re pleased that our efforts to develop human rights and ethical trade approaches for our supply chains have been recognised, meaning that the Lidl group has collectively climbed to fourth place in the global retailer rankings, and fourth place in Great Britain. We?ve been busy conducting a human rights review of our global supply chains over the past year, enabling us to better understand the risks facing people in our supply chains. As part of the strategy we have committed to the UN Women?s Empowerment Principles, published supply chain transparency information and launched the Way To Go chocolate bar, to support living wages in the cocoa sector. We?re proud of the progress we?ve made, and of the teams responsible for making these changes for the better. Last week we announced our plans to open one Lidl store per week over the next six months, creating up to 1,000 new jobs by the end of 2020. We also plan to open 100 additional stores across Great Britain over 2021 and 2022 - creating around 4,000 jobs - and aim to have 1,000 stores in Great Britain by the end of 2023.
