A huge congratulations to our British Citizen Award (BCA) medallists and certificate winners …..and a big thank you to the BCA for providing such a great way to recognise the hard work of our colleagues over the last year! All winners are thoroughly deserving of the recognition they have received from their peers for the part they played during a challenging and uncertain time. We would also like to thank all our colleagues at Lidl GB, we couldn’t do it without you. Alongside all other UK supermarkets and retail workers, you have worked tirelessly to keep the nation fed. Congratulations! #WeAreLidl
Did you know that we offer Apprenticeships to our Lidl GB colleagues? Lifetime Training, our Apprenticeship partner, recently visited each of our Regional Distribution Centres to meet our Warehouse teams and promote our new Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship programme. The sessions proved to be informative, helpful and engaging, generating lots of excitement around the programme. We're excited to continue growing our Apprenticeship network!
£4,000,000. That’s the grand total we at Lidl GB have raised for our charity partner, the NSPCC, since our partnership began in 2017! The £1 million raised in the past year is directly supporting the NSPCC’s life-changing Childline service, which gives young people a voice when no one else is listening and provides a place for children to turn to for support – whatever difficulty they’re facing. We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without our colleagues’ imaginative fundraising activities and generous donations. A huge thank you to them, and to everyone who donated through our fundraising initiatives or by buying products in store.
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. We know the last year has been tough and we have a responsibility to support the wellbeing of our colleagues across the business. Supporting our employees' mental health, both inside and outside of the workplace, is essential – and a number of tools and initiatives have been introduced at Lidl, aimed at doing exactly that. You can out more about these on our benefits page: https://careers.lidl.co.uk/life-at-lidl/benefits
