At Morgan ensuring our employees safety is crucial to us. At our site in China they held an EHS workshop, so that their team members could discuss their safety experiences and challenges. This was the first in person workshop since COVID hit in 2020. They discussed topics such as Morgan Incident Definition & Reporting refresh training, Dust control design refresh training, Safety Zero Tolerance Policy - Challenge/Practice Sharing, EHS Law & Regulation Training by external professional and much more. Meet Stacey, our Seals and Bearings Global Finance Director. Today Stacey is sharing her leadership insight with us. As a recent alumni of our internal development programme ‘Catalyst’ development programme, Stacey believes that the learning experience was a huge help in guiding her leadership style. Since joining she has got involved each year by mentoring and teaching others. Stacey has been part of our Morgan family for 13 years and shared; “Morgan does a lot of work to bring in very talented people and working amongst them is great. Morgan also has a really strong leadership team who are very open to change, which has made it a great experience to work here”. Being a leader can be challenging and Stacey highlighted how the challenges she has faced in her role have led her to approach her team and situations in a different way. Facing challenges has enabled her to grow her skills and approach; to be a great role model to her team and the wider Morgan community!

We love to see our people marking awareness days and getting together to enjoy food and conversations. This March our East Stroudsburg team took the time to mark 'Pi Day' at their site, an unofficial holiday created by ‘Prince of Pi' physicist Larry Shaw in 1988. Originally the celebrations were planned for 14 March, otherwise known as 3.14 or π. Inaccurate weather forecasting led to a slight delay, but the team managed to enjoy several flavours of pie together later in the month.
