Here at Morgan we run an 'IT on the Move' initiative, with the aim of getting our IT employees to be more active, connecting with colleagues globally, with happiness and improved health being the aim. In 2023 our IT team walked over 11,000,000 steps together - equivalent to 5,224 miles Although the IT on the Move 2023 has finished, this doesn’t mean the stepping has to stop! We hope that the team keep up their halthy practices and continue to see the benefits gained.
In 2022, Morgan delievered meaningful environmental action when our Thermal Ceramics site in Kizad UAE built a new cooling tower that reduced the net water consumption of the site by up to 60%. There are many other ways Morgan commits to meaningful and measurable environmental action, and we feel that it is more critical than ever, which is why Morgan Advanced Materials disclosed through CDP in 2023. We are supporting World Kindness Day! Being kind is important not only today but every day. Kindness to people and kindness to the planet. Our people are always giving back to their communities and we have many shining examples: ♥ US Master Production Planner, Bob, shaving his head to encourage people at our plant in Twinsburg, OH to donate to a charity (St Baldrick's Foundation). They managed to raise an impressive $830 for the community childhood cancer charity ♥ At our Atlacomulco, Mexico site, the team have been recognising and rewarding the efforts of their people through a scholarship programme, directed to the children of 45 employees. The team awarded scholarships for academic performance to the children. Today, we released our Q3 trading update to the financial markets. We are in a strong financial position, and our growth outlook remains unchanged. Key highlights: • Sales for the nine months to September 2023 were 2.4% higher for the Group, compared with the same period last year. • The Group has continued to benefit from strong growth in the Semiconductor, Healthcare and Aerospace end-markets. • Our outlook for full year organic revenue growth is unchanged at 2-4%.
