A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting our very first annual Managers' Conference. For two inspiring days, at the Birch Community in Cheshunt, we brought together our incredible managers from across our nurseries to talk leadership, company culture and team empowerment. We're all about building a culture where people can thrive, so it was our pleasure to create this opportunity to share, learn and grow together. All eyes are on Cop26 for what we hope will be a pivotal moment for climate change, and at N, we've also taken the time to look inward. We recognise that the choices we make every day impact our planet, so we're committed to supporting sustainable initiatives and using our resources in a way that doesn't degrade the environment. For the past year, we've been working with Planet Mark to understand our environmental impact and tackle our carbon footprint by reviewing our energy usage, waste management and travel. After all, you can't manage what you don't measure. Recently, we were honoured to become Planet Mark certified and on a path to net-zero. We're embedding sustainable practices throughout N and will continue to do everything we can to make a change for a brighter future.
Today N Twickenham turns 1, so we spoke to Nursery Manager, Elaine Eastham, about her journey to N and favourite memories from the past year. My journey to N "I learned N were recruiting for a new nursery in Twickenham and began investigating just what N delivered. I was blown away by the holistic curriculum; it was so beautifully thought out and with an obvious wealth of knowledge and experience behind it. Then when I discovered the N Extras (yoga, cookery, Spanish), I thought, 'this is definitely for me!' I applied, and here I am one year later, happy and fulfilled in my work." Happy N Wellbeing Week! It was World Mental Health Day yesterday, and we're continuing the celebration all week. For N Wellbeing Week, we're treating our teams to a range of surprise gifts and planned activities. From laughter yoga and Kokedama creation to workshops on resilience and financial wellbeing.
